Nuts Left in the Synagogue

Question

Someone in my synagogue held a Shalom Zachar and left nuts there from Shabbat (some are sealed). Can they be eaten?

Hello Rabbi

If they were left in a public place, it is certainly intended to be abandoned, and it is permissible to take them.
