Buying Stolen Spare Parts for a Car
Question
With the help of Heaven
Hello and blessings.
I need to replace a significant part in my car, which at an authorized garage would cost me around 8,000 shekels, while among the Arabs in the territories it would cost me 2,500.
The problem is that among the Arabs there is a possibility that this part was taken from a stolen vehicle.
Is there a halachic problem with buying the part from the Arabs?
Thank you very much

Answer
Hello and blessings
If it is not known with certainty that this part was stolen, it is permitted to buy it.
Only if it is known that it was stolen, or if it is being sold at such a low price that it is clear that it was stolen, is it forbidden.
