Rescuing a Cart from Disposal
Question
A person sees a garbage truck about to take a supermarket cart, rendering it unusable, and just before the truck takes it, he takes it for himself. Is he obligated to return a lost item, or is it considered rescuing from the sea, making the item his own?

In such a case, the cart belongs to the person who took it.
