Rent - Thirty day notice

I rent an apartment in Yerushalayim. I finished my choze aroumd half a year ago. I stayed living in the apertment after that, I bh found a new dirah and I told my bal dirah that I'm leaving in three weeks. He told me that i need to pay for at least a month because the minhag is to be modiah a month before leaving. i said im not a socher stam i was a socher shonim and when the conract finished he can tell me to leave whenever he wants and i can leave whenever i want even more to that , pesacj i had to leave the dirah and let him use it i said its going against the contract so he told me no the contract is finished now he is seemingly saying the opposite can he have it both ways? הדין עם מי?

Even though on Pesach the owner wasn't allowed to make you leave you outdoors taken him to bet din about it  evtheless one needs to give a 30 day  notice before leaving.
