Paid Debt with a Check and the Check Disappeared
Question
To settle a debt, a check was issued to the payee only, and the creditor lost the check. Is the borrower required to pay again?
Answer
Yes, because a check is not yet considered as settling the debt [if it cannot cause harm to the borrower].
