Question

Is it permissible to invest money in the Tel Aviv 125 Index through a Harel provident fund, when there is no heter iska?

Answer

Shalom u'vrachah 

The problem is not the prohibition of ribbit, for which a heter iska is effective, but rather investing in trading that includes Shabbat prohibitions, forbidden foods, and more.
