Affixing a Mezuzah at the Elevator Entrance

Question

Can neighbors be compelled to spend money on affixing a mezuzah at the elevator entrance?

Answer

Shalom Rav,

Since it is a necessity for the building, it is possible to require the neighbors to participate in this.
