Interest Between Family Members
Question
Hello, honorable Rabbi,
I wanted to ask about the issue of ribit between close people, such as parents and their son,
or between siblings and even between friends,
for example, if a borrower borrowed a bill of one hundred and returned two hundred,
what is the halacha in each case, and what is the solution if one nevertheless wants to give more and not cause offense...

Answer
Hello and blessings
There is no permission to give interest on a loan between relatives.
There is no such thing as “offense” when one is observing the prohibitions of the Torah.
It is forbidden even to give a gift as an expression of gratitude for the loan, even a long time after repayment.
