Cancellation of Appointment with Photographer

Question

A photographer had someone book a session for today and canceled at the last moment. There was another person who wanted a session for the same day, but due to the first booking, she said she was unavailable, and now she lost both. Is the person who canceled obligated to pay?

One must pay half.
