Until When Can a Teacher Be Notified About a Reduction in Position
Question
A teacher in a Talmud Torah was told just two days before Tisha B’Av that his hours are being cut. Is that okay? And if not, what rights does he have to push back or make a claim against the school?
Answer
Shalom and blessings
Response of the Dayanim of the Beit Hora'ah:
This is not acceptable, and he can threaten them that he will look for another place, and indeed he can look for another place. Today there is a high demand for teachers.
