Damage to a Garment at a Sewing Workshop
Question
I sent a garment for repair at a sewing workshop
It seems that the seamstresses were not professional enough; both of them worked on the garment, each doing part of the work, and the result was that they cut too much and caused me damage. May I demand the value of the garment from the owner of the sewing workshop?

Answer
Shalom u’vracha
You may sue the owners of the sewing workshop for the damage. [Your claim is against the owner of the place, and he cannot refer you to sue the seamstresses, since you did not come to this or that particular seamstress, but rather to the general business of the sewing workshop].
If the garment was completely damaged, they must pay its full value. If it can be repaired, they are obligated only to repair the damage.
