Watching a Film That Has Already Been Distributed

Is it permitted to watch at home a film for girls that is currently being circulated on many home computers, even though the film came out about 3–4 years ago and the producer wrote that anyone who watches it at home violates the prohibition of theft and is obligated to pay her?

Our teacher Rabbi Amram Fried shlita ruled that as long as the film is being sold by the producer, it is forbidden to watch it without payment.
