Marital relations on the night of the 17th of Tammuz
Question
Hi i was wondering if it's permitted to have relations with a spouse on the night of the 17th of Tammuz?
Answer
Shalom!
Thank you for your question.
It is permitted to have relations on the night of a minor fast day.
The only exception is on Tisha B'av and Yom Kippur which are the only two days of the year when marital relations are forbidden according to the halacha.
While there are other days of the year when marital relations are discouraged, it is only those two days of the year when they are truly forbidden.
