Doing the Hefsek Taharah Earlier

I am on vacation, and we want to go on an outing from four o’clock until night. I need to do a hefsek taharah, and I prefer to do it calmly at home rather than try to find public restrooms during the trip. Is there a problem with doing the hefsek at four in the afternoon?

Doing the hefsek close to sunset is only the ideal practice lechatchilah.
When there is a need, it is permitted to do the hefsek earlier.
It is certainly preferable to do the hefsek at home in a definite and calm manner, rather than enter into uncertainty as to whether you will remember and whether you will have enough time; and even if you do, it will not be done calmly.
