Immersion with Makeup
Question
Why do women not immerse with makeup? Especially on Shabbat... Where is the source of the prohibition? In Shulchan Aruch, Siman 198, it is explicitly permitted.

In Rema, S"A it is written that it is customary not to immerse even with something that is not a barrier, due to the concern it might be a barrier.
Additionally, it is very common for makeup to smear and spoil during immersion, losing its beauty, and becoming something that people are particular to remove.
