Obstruction in Nails

Hello, is it permissible for a woman to immerse with long nails according to Ashkenazi custom? And is a nail extension considered an obstruction?

Hello,
According to Ashkenazi custom, a woman who did not cut her nails and immersed must immerse again.
I am not sure what is meant by 'nail extension'. If it refers to filling in a place where the nail is broken or missing, it is not considered an obstruction.
However, if it refers to an addition to the nail made for beauty, ideally one should not immerse in this state, and it should be removed before immersion. But if she immersed, the immersion is valid.
