Insertion of 'Mirena' Device

Question

I had an intrauterine device called 'Mirena' inserted for birth control. Does this render me impure?

Answer

Shalom Rav,

The insertion of an intrauterine device for birth control renders a woman impure, as the insertion widens the opening of the uterus.
