Greeting a Woman
Question
Is it permissible to greet a woman, such as if one has a lonely neighbor, is there a way to ask her how she is doing?
Answer
It is permissible to say 'Shalom', and it is preferable to say 'Ma Nishma' rather than 'Ma Shlomech', and also to ask about her health and similar matters.
