Use of the Assets of a Woman with Dementia

Question

If a couple has been married for many years, and now the wife has severe dementia and is not of sound mind, may the husband, according to Halacha (not according to civil law), give one of his assets to one of his sons, or is he forbidden to do so because of his obligation in the ketubah?

Answer

Shalom and blessings.

If it is registered in his name and it is indeed his, he is permitted to use it.
