Question
We have perennial plants in our yard that we grow for feeding our animals. Is there sanctity of the seventh year in this, considering it is not edible for humans?
Answer
Animal feed has the sanctity of the seventh year even if it is not suitable for human consumption, and it is permitted to feed it to animals even if part of it is spoiled.
