Lighting Shabbat Candles with Shemitah Oil
Question
Is it permissible to light Shabbat and holiday candles with Shemitah oil?
Answer
It is permissible to use Shemitah oil for lighting Shabbat and Yom Tov candles, but not for lighting Chanukah candles, because it is forbidden to use their light.
