Cooking in a Meat Pot to Eat with Dairy
Question
I want to cook rice with milk, and I only have a suitable meat pot, which I haven't used for several days. Can I cook in the pot in a pareve state and then add the milk on the plate?
Answer
For Ashkenazim, it is generally forbidden, but in the absence of another pot, it is permitted. For Sephardim, it is permitted.
