Spices and Oil Used for a Meat Dish

If I add spices, oil, or anything else, pareve, into a dish, does the utensil and the salt, oil, spice become meaty or dairy accordingly?

The spices and oil do not become meaty because the rising steam does not reach boiling, and it is not considered a connection between the dish and them.
