Meat Utensil Used for Cheese

Question

There were pieces of tomato mixed with cottage cheese on a dairy plate, and they were accidentally eaten with a meat fork. Everything was cold. What is the status of the fork?

The fork remains meat, and there is no need to kosher it; just wash it thoroughly from any cheese residue.
