Use of Cutlery with Unknown Kosher Status

Question

I am in a hotel abroad owned by a Jew, and it seems to me that kashrut is not observed there. I wanted to ask if I am allowed to use the cutlery?

Answer

In such a case, you may use the cutlery only after kashering and immersion in a mikvah.
