Immersion of a Thermos
Question
A thermos for hot water, does it require immersion with a blessing?
Answer
It requires immersion, but without a blessing because it is only a storage vessel and not for preparation and cooking. However, a kettle used for cooking requires immersion with a blessing, and similarly, an electric thermos also requires immersion with a blessing.
