Kashering in a utensil of a different type

Question

Is it permitted to perform hag'alah (boiling kashering) of dairy forks in a meat pot that is not ben yomo, when there is no other utensil in which to do the hag'alah?

Answer

If the utensils being kashered are not ben yoman, it is permitted.
