Performing Hagalah on a Utensil to Make It Pareve

Question

A pareve utensil that was used for meat or dairy, and one wants to perform hagalah on it and return it to being pareve.
Is it necessary to wait 24 hours, or may one perform hagalah on it immediately—since this is an absorption of a permitted substance?

Answer

Shalom u’verachah

As you wrote, since the absorbed substance is permitted, one may perform hagalah on the same day.
