Kashering a Pyrolytic Oven
Question
I have a pyrolytic oven that can be kashered at five hundred degrees. Can I transfer a gasket from another oven and activate the pyrolytic function (from a dairy oven to a meat oven)?

You must ensure that the oven is indeed approved for kashering.
There are many ovens on the market that, although they are supposed to reach 500 degrees, actually reach much less.
There are ovens approved for kashering from meat to dairy and vice versa. There are also ovens approved for kashering from chametz to Pesach.
In approved ovens, there is no need to replace gaskets.
