Does silverware such as a goblet and its saucer require immersion?

If your question is about new silverware and whether there is an issue of forbidden absorption during production, the answer is that there is no concern, and immersion is not required.
If you mean silverware that has been used with chametz and whether it needs immersion for Passover, the answer is that if there is a concern that chametz crumbs have absorbed into the cup, it should be immersed for Passover. The saucer, in any case, does not need immersion, but should be cleaned thoroughly.
