Conducting a “Goral Achitophel”
Question
Is it permitted to perform a Goral Achitophel in order to clarify a certain matter, and is there any danger involved?

The Torah commanded: “תמים תהיה עם ה' אלוקיך” (“You shall be wholehearted with Hashem your God”).
And the Shulchan Aruch wrote, Shulchan Aruch, Yoreh De’ah, siman 179, se’if 1:
One does not consult astrologers, nor lots. And the Rema wrote: because it is stated: “תמים תהיה עם ה' אלהיך” (Devarim 18:13) (“You shall be wholehearted with Hashem your God”).
And what is there to seek through lots?
