A Seating Place Causing Departure

I work in an office with two other girls, and we have a manager. For some time now, we've been trying to recruit someone for a specific position, and everyone who sits in the available spot leaves. Now they want to move me to sit in that spot, but I'm afraid there's something like an evil eye there, as everyone who sits there leaves.

It is necessary to check if there is a technical reason causing this.
For example: if there is something in the place that disturbs concentration at work or if the seat is in front of the manager's eyes...
