Using a Gas Stove on Yom Tov

I have a portable gas stove like those used for camping. On the side, there is a gas canister that connects under pressure. Is it permissible on Yom Tov to connect the gas canister due to the prohibition of building or striking with a hammer? I emphasize that I cannot do this before Yom Tov because when the canister is connected, the gas flows.

If the connection is tightened with force,  it should not be connected on Yom Tov.
