Using an Electric Cooktop on Yom Tov
Question
Is it permissible to use electric stovetops on Yom Tov when they have a thermostat? Is one required to be careful to place the pot on the stovetop only when it is on, and when is it permissible to remove the pot?

It is permissible to use it.
One should place the pot on it when the heating element is on, and remove the pot when the heating element is off.
