Adding Water to an Electric Urn

Is it permitted to add water to an electric urn on Yom Tov?

Answer

Shalom u‑verakha 

In a regular urn that does not have a thermostat, it is permitted to add water. 

In a newer urn that has a thermostat, it is forbidden to add water.
