Yom kippur

Question

Hi! I am currently taking psyciatric medication and my psychiatrist told me I shouldn't fast on yom Kippur, what should I do? Thank you!

Answer

Thank you for your question.

Hagaon Harav Fried shelita says:

That you should take the pills that you have to take with a little water and if you feel that you can fast you may fast, however you are not obligated to do so.
