Yom Kippur Fast - Bitter Taste in Mouth

Question

A bochur has this ongoing issue where he keeps getting a strong bitter taste in his mouth. He’s already been to a few doctors and even a gastro specialist, but they still don’t know what’s causing it. It wakes him up at night and he needs to drink something sweet to get rid of it, and it happens during the day too. He’s really bothered by it and is often sipping sweet drinks or chewing gum. Sometimes a sweet drink is enough, and sometimes he needs more. What’s the Halacha with regard to Yom Kippur?

Answer

Shalom uVracha,

Today is Sunday, the 6th of Tishrei. Our Rav shlit”a will be sitting with a medical specialist to discuss medical questions.

A response will be sent to you, be’ezras Hashem, by tomorrow, Monday.
