Fasting while Breastfeeding with Weakness
Question
I am breastfeeding a five-and-a-half-month-old baby exclusively. On regular days, I need to drink and eat regularly; otherwise, I feel strong weakness and headaches. Additionally, I am concerned that fasting will affect the milk supply, and the baby will remain hungry.

A nursing mother is required to fast on Yom Kippur.
If you drink properly before the fast and try to avoid unnecessary exertion, breastfeeding should not be affected at all.
In cases of great weakness, severe dizziness, blackouts, etc., you should drink in small measured amounts.
