Eating on Yom Kippur for a Sick Person Who Needs to Drink

Question

If someone needs to drink on Yom Kippur due to illness, is it also permissible for them to eat?

Answer

Shalom Rav,

A sick person who only needs to drink is not permitted to eat, and similarly, a sick person who only needs to eat is not permitted to drink.

Have an easy fast and a complete recovery.
