Shoe Repair for the Holiday

Question

I wanted to ask if it is permissible to glue the soles of shoes during the intermediate days of a festival for the sake of the holiday?

Answer

Greetings,
It is permissible to perform a repair that is a 'layman's act,' meaning a non-professional labor, for the sake of the holiday.
