Erev Tisha B'av: Bike Riding

Question

Is it personable to go bike riding on erev tisha bav?

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

The afternoon before Tisha B’av begins already takes on some of the mourning flavor of Tisha B’av itself.

One of these restrictions is going on a pleasure stroll, and the like.

As such, it would be forbidden to go bike riding.

One should use this time to reflect on the theme of Tisha B’av and the upcoming period of fasting and mourning.
