The Fast of Tisha B’Av After Surgery

Question

Shalom u’vracha
I underwent abdominal surgery (hernia) under general anesthesia a week ago. I feel well, but I am still a little weak.
What should I do regarding the fast?
Thank you very much

Answer

Shalom u’vracha

Since you are still weak due to the surgery, you may eat and drink as usual.
