A New Vacuum-Mop During the Nine Days

Question

Shalom u’vracha. Is it permissible during the Nine Days to open and use a new Dreame device (a vacuum and floor washer) in order to clean the house in honor of Shabbat, if it was ordered before the Nine Days and arrived now?

Answer

Shalom u’vracha 

It should not be used.

Since the novelty and joy occur at the beginning of its use, and one who recites Shehecheyanu recites it at the beginning of its use.
