Laundry on Rosh Chodesh Av

Question

This year, when Rosh Chodesh Av falls on a Friday, is it permitted to do laundry as usual until Shabbat?

Answer

It is forbidden. All the laws of the Nine Days begin from the night of Rosh Chodesh, except for bathing in honor of Shabbat.
