Binding the Species of the Lulav

Question

According to those who hold that the lulav must be bound with a double knot and the 'koishikel' is not sufficient, is it permissible to tie a knot above the koishikel, or must the knot be tied directly on the three species?

It is permissible to tie on the koishikel.
