Shehecheyanu on the Lulav on the Second Day of the Festival

Is it necessary to recite the Shehecheyanu blessing when taking the lulav today—on the second day of Chol HaMoed—if I have not yet taken the lulav during the current Sukkot festival, or is Shehecheyanu recited only when taking it on the first Yom Tov? (For a woman)

On the first day that you take it, recite the blessing of “Shehecheyanu.”
