Tying the sechach with linen thread

Is it okay to tie the sechach with linen thread to the wooden beams underneath it?
(I saw that you wrote that there is a bit of an issue with using linen threads as a support. But first, I did not understand how significant this is, since some poskim hold that one may support the sechach with something that is invalid for sechach only rabbinically. And second, in my case this is already a support of a support, is it not? After all, the wooden beams hold up the sechach that rests on them, and the thread that ties it is merely a support of a support.

A. Indeed, this depends on a dispute among the poskim.
B. If without it the sechach would not stand in a normal wind, then it is not a support of a support, but an actual support.
