Fastening the Schach with the Aid of Screws
Question
Is it permissible to fasten boards above the schach with screws to boards beneath the schach, so that the schach is held between them, when the boards are not susceptible to ritual impurity?

Greetings and blessings
If the schach would remain in place in a common wind even without the screws connecting the boards, it is permissible to fasten the boards with screws.
But if they would not remain in place without the screws, there is concern that the screws are considered the “support” of the schach, and one should not do this lechatchilah.
