Writing on Chol Hamoed - For the Quality of Study

I am accustomed to studying with writing.
That is, when I engage in quality study, it requires me to summarize and write at every step. In such a situation, am I allowed to write on Chol Hamoed (only on the computer) or is it forbidden?
