Using the Phone on Chol HaMoed

I wanted to ask if it is permissible to make a phone call on Chol HaMoed using a phone without numbers for non-festival purposes?

Making a phone call involves many tasks, even without writing on the screen. Turning on and off, connecting and disconnecting.
